Sending our condolences! If I had to describe Lindy in one word it would be patient. I remember vividly he came to an event at Westside and when it was over because the preacher in the lecture pointed out he was in the audience he literally couldn't make it out the door. As a young man and huge baseball fan I literally held myself back because I felt for Lindy. I also think of the line in the movie Field

What a loss for all of us left behind, but what a gain for Lindy!

He meant so much to me, my extended family, my Christian family, and so so many others.

Hard to pick just one word to describe Lindy, but it would have to be Faithful.

Prayers for Nancy and the family. He will absolutely be missed here on this earth.

Look forward to seeing him again one day...

My days are much brighter when I think of my friend. We had many discussions about the Bible and his work on PITCHING FOR THE MASTER. We also talked about BASEBALL. Lindy and Nancy were married in our home and they spent many nights with Sandy and me. He was a very benevolent man. He was my hero and when we talked baseball he was bigger than life to me. He was my friend and I loved him!!

Our condolences to Lindy's family and friends. He was a wonderful, kind, and caring man. We knew Lindy from our time living in Lavon. When we first moved to Texas from Iowa back in 2004, we knew very few people. We purchased a home next door to Lindy and his wife, Nancy. From day one, Lindy and Nancy were there to help us move into our home, extend warm invites to their home for meals, and always extended an invitation

Dear Kathi, praying the Holy Spirit's grace be upon you and your family. What a wonderful life your father has led as a professional athlete and a servant of Christ. Fantastic testament. I'm not surprised, because he has passed those same qualities on to you my friend. Though we mourn for those no longer with us in this earthly realm, we know your dad is now living eternally in his forever home singing praises to our God.

Lifting you up in continued prayer,

Kelly and Mark Dawson

It is comforting to know Lindy is in the presence of his Savior and we pray for comfort for his family as only God can give. The memories Lindy left us are wonderful and we will always remember what a great example he was for all ages. Love to all, Phil &Sandy

Thank you, Lindy for being a brother & friend. My live, our lives (Patty & me) have been so blessed to know you and Alice and you and Nancy. We enjoyed the '42' games and countless hours of discussions on Christ & HIS church. It was a pleasure to serve as an elder with you. Your notebooks on Bible Reading will be part of my library until I come to meet you after awhile. We love Nancy and will see to her welfare until she comes home to the Lord & you.

I met Mr. McDaniel in 2009 in Costa Rica, he talked to us about how to obtain results through discipline. Condolences to Dale and all of Mr. McDaniel's loved ones.
