My family was one of the many families sponsored by Mr. Phan when we came to the United States. Even though we were not related and did not even know each other previously, he was gracious enough to extend to us his kindness. Phong and I worked together at Deluxe check printers. When I interviewed Phong he didn't speak any English and he had to have an interpreter. We hired Phong and it didn't take him long to pick up the language. He made himself a home at Deluxe and became a large part of a family that still stays
In contact even after 24 and half years. Phong was a very close friend and we kept in touch often. He will truly be missed.

Phong is my wife's father. The last year I spent getting to know him and his wife-Khen. I will always remember walking through their front door and the Hiiiiiiiiiiii Ken that I was greeted by every single time. My wife and I spent a lot of time with her old people I was there the day he got the Covid Diagnosis and there the last time we took him to the Infusion Clinic. Words cannot describe the loss I feel knowing I will never hear Hiiiiiiii Ken ever again. Phong-rest in peace. We will take care of Khen.

He had set a great example for us to become successful himself. He had

I worked with Phong at Deluxe Check Printers. He always had a smile and positive attitude. My husband & I even attended several of his New Year's celebrations. While the Des Moines Deluxe Check Printers closed 94-95 (?), many of us have stayed in contact with Phong and each other over the years. When Phong was back to Iowa in November, 2018, we had a get together (one of the biggest ones we have had because everyone wanted to see
