Condolence & Memory Journal

I am so sorry to hear of Rex's passing. He was always so nice to me. May God give you all peace and comfort.

Not sure where to begin. I lived in the little East Dallas hood for 18 years. I met Rex, Dot and Sunshine a few years after I moved it. Not the most likely friends, them being much older then me and much more conservative, but I am grateful to have called them my friends and to have spent time with all three. I would walk Sunshine on my lunch break, such a sweet dog. She was always excited when I knocked on the door. I worked from home so I was the go to number/person whenever Rex had to leave Dot alone. He always made sure she was taken care of. We exchanged food, stories and laughs on the front lawn of their house. They were always welcoming and kind but told you what for if they didn't agree with you. They will always hold a place in my heart, I am sure they are all happy being together once more. Rest in peace you guys.

Rex kept us all laughing at Restland. We loved his quick wit and his words of wisdom AND his delicious chilie! I wish I had his recipe! Every year when I would take Dot and he their Farmers Insurance calendars (my husband worked for Farmers), Rex always gave me chilie. I always took them two calendars because Dot wanted one in her closet. She loved the pictures. I will miss my friend and already do miss Dot
