Tribute & Message From The Family

Jan Delaine Daniel was born in Dallas, Texas on January 6, 1955 and welcomed home to heaven on August 15, 2021. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 39 years, Russell Daniel; Daughter Delaina Daniel Smith; Son Dee Daniel; Father Gerald Payton; Mother Neva Rogers Payton; Sister June Payton Kirksey.

Jan's personality always lit up the room, her laughter and joy will forever be remembered. She was a caring friend, a loving wife, and a dedicated mother. She loved playing games and was often the lucky one. She loved traveling with her family, through the US by bus, or flying to the other side of the ocean. She was always there to lend the helping hand. She was eminent for being a prayer warrior and never a hesitation to stop what she was doing and get in tune with the Lord throughout all hours of the night.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Saturday, August 21, 2021, beginning at 12:00pm. A short service will begin at 1:00pm followed by a convoy to the cemetery at 2:00pm. All events will be located at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home (2343 Lake Rd. Lavon, TX 75066).

Services entrusted to Charles W. Smith & Sons of Lavon, Texas.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Jan,
When I see how loving and caring your daughter is, I can't even imagine how dedicated you were to your family, as she surely learned that from you. All the kindness you diffused will continue spreading through her.
I will remember you smiling and laughing at your front door when you welcomed us to your home.
Rest in peace keeping an eye on your beloved ones.
All my love to Russell, your parents and sister, Delaina and Dee.

Very dear Jan, I am so sad you left so soon. We met at Delaïna and Johnny's wedding and I felt immediately well at ease with you and Russell because you were a very kind, generous, warm, caring woman with a very good sense of humour and a loving mum, wife and daughter. We shared some good laughs and talks with you and Russell when we stayed at your house with my sisters.I promise you I will do everything I can to be the best mother in law for Delaïna. I know you will keep and eye on all your loved ones.I send you all my love. Béa

I met Jan at Delaina and Johnny's wedding. As friends of Johnny we were welcomed with open arms by Jan and Russel who showed us a part of the United States.
I felt a strong empathy from Jan who did everything to make us feel comfortable during our stay.

I send my deepest condolences to all his family and friends.

Oh Sweet Jan, I loved her laugh and most all the worship that she had for the Lord. Many times at church I would see her just give her all but not only that I would see her pour out to others. I loved the after church lunches that we had from time to time when I went to church with her, Jan will be missed I know. What a beautiful person.
