My deepest sympathies to Walterine's family. I only knew her for a short time. She actually took me in when I moved to Farmersville from Chicago. She was the most intelligent, creative, interesting woman I've ever had the pleasure to know. A caring and kind heart had she and I was a better person to have known her. Rest in peace Walterine❤

I have so many wonderful memories, I can't express just one.

Walterine is the person I've always looked up to and loved so much! I've missed out on many years to spend time with her, but life sent me so many different directions. I learned so much from her, and she took care of me (as did her family) when I was young and needing something stable in my life. I owe so much to Walterine and her family, and I will always love every one of them!

My prayers and love always,

Judy F. Hoyle

REMEMBERING WALTERINE WITH FONDNESS

I WAS WALTERINE’S NEIGHBOR FOR A TIME IN THE 80S.
I REMEMBER CONNECTING WITH WALTERINE THROUGH OUR MUTUAL LOVE OF READING.
I REMEMBER TRAVELING WITH WALTERINE TO CEMETERIES LOOKING FOR NAMES ON TOMBSTONES TO CONNECT GENEALOGICAL THREADS.
I REMEMBER WALTERINE’S FIREWORKS’ STAND WHERE I VISITED HER.
I REMEMBER GATHERING PEARS FROM WALTERINE’S FRONT YARD PEAR TREES TO MAKE PRESERVES.
I REMEMBER WALTERINE SITTING WITH ME WHEN MY MOTHER DIED.
I REMEMBER WALTERINE LOVED HER FIVE CHILDREN EQUALLY.
BEST OF ALL, I REMEMBER WALTERINE AS THE MOST NONJUDGEMENTAL PERSON I’VE EVER MET.
