Claudia June Monroe went to her heavenly home, Thursday October 24, 2019. She passed away at home with her family and close friends surrounding her with love.

Claudia is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Boots Spangler.

She is survived by two daughters: Misty Shugart of Garland, TX and Wendy Shugart Coles and husband, Ricky Coles of Rockwall, TX, and grandchildren, Blake Schreiber of Fort Collins, CO Kailea and Jaden Coles of Rockwall, TX.

Siblings include Mike Crank and wife Karen of Auburndale, Florida, Jim (Spongie) Spangler of Vancouver, Washington, Jim (Butch) Spangler and husband Ron of Lewisville, TX, and Robert Ray Turner and life partner Annie of Poetry, TX, Dorothy Spangler Holt of Leonard, TX, Cathy Spangler Gilbert and husband Billy of Leonard, TX, and Connie Spangler Spencer of Van Alstyne, TX. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, many cousins and a multitude of friends.

Claudia was born April 24, 1944 in McKinney, TX. She grew up in McKinney and graduated from McKinney High School. Shortly after graduating McKinney High School, she attended Beauty School and became a hairdresser. For the next 50+ years she worked as a hairdresser in Garland. Over the years she earned the reputation as a hard worker, a devoted friend, and simply an Angel on Earth.

Claudia was a treasure to all who knew her. She worked hard her whole adult life sacrificing to make sure her daughters had everything they needed. When she became a grandmother, she was "Meme" and that was what Claudia June Monroe was born to be - "a beloved Meme". Claudia was a devoted friend but what Claudia would want to be most remembered for is being the best Mom and Meme in the whole wide world.

Claudias' family wishes to express their deep gratitude for the many cards, texts, calls, visits, flowers and food from her friends during her short illness. Most of all the countless prayers and loving thoughts are greatly appreciated.
